Julie Rubio joined the faculty at Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University after nearly two decades at St. Louis University where she was Professor of Theological Studies. Her research in social ethics focuses on family, sexuality, and politics, and is marked by concern for common ground. She has published four books and one edited volume. Her essays have appeared in Theological Studies, Horizons, the Journal of the Society of Christian Ethics, and the Journal of Political Theology. During her time at SLU, she received four awards for excellence in teaching and the Founders Award from the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies. She was Director of SLU’s Puleo Immersion Program from 2002-2009 and Director of the M.A. in Theology program from 2009-2012. She is a board member of the Catholic Theological Society of America and the Journal of Catholic Social Thought. Her current book project is Catholic and Feminist: Is It Still Possible?
